My fiance found your book, Spilling Clarence, in a dollar tree while I was on leave from Iraq in St Augustine, Fl. She read it after I went back, and subsequently mailed it to me. Best dollar we ever spent, I think.

I'm not going to lie, it took some time to put two and two together, but I am now a fan of Ms. Ursu and all of her subsequent alii, alter-egos, and protrusions into parallel dimensions.

After reading a website by a close friend of yours, I found my way to your site. I recently finished "Spilling Clarence," which I loved, and cannot wait to read "The Disapparation of James." You rock!

Wow! I read the article in Glamour, and it gave me hope. I am 18 years old and I was diagnosed with CFS this year, my senior year of high school. It is horrible, I really would like to share my story with you. So if possible I would love to contact you other than through this guestbook.

Dear Anne, I finally read both of your novels, and just wanted to say thank you. My mother says thank you as well. Sincerely, Chris P.S. I hadn't realized that JEB taught a sophomore seminar on Guns, Germs, and Steel in the fall of my senior year. Small world, eh?

My local book club will be reviewing your book, Spilling Clarence in February. One reason we chose your book was we were looking for something humorous to read. I think Spilling Clarence filled the bill and more. Your web site is fun too. Look forward to reading The Disapparation of James.

I have enjoyed both of your two books, and very patiencently(sp) waiting for the the third to be brought forth. You have a very lyrical voice in your books, which makes them such a joy!

Just read The Disapparation of James last week and am now harassing everyone I know to read it. Rarely am I this enthusiastic about a book. One of the finest pieces of writing I have ever come across.

Anne, congratulations! I loved your book and very much hope to see you again one day. Amy and Jen feel the same way. Sorry to use this public forum to make contact, but I didn't know how to reach you privately. Do write back if you like!

I am constantly amazed by Anne's command of the language. I have loved her books and am anxious for yet another. Can I help in any way...laundry duty to free her up to write?

I read an excerpt of both James and Clarence online. I just finished the Disapparation of James. I enjoyed it, despite a fewinstances of wrong word usage, which always disappoints me.I am off to the bookstore or library to get Spilling Clarence. Great website!

After being completely spellbound by Spilling Clarence, I couldn't wait to devour your next book. Especially since my son's name is James. I'm not a fast reader, but I finished The D of J in three hours. I'm also not a patient reader - when did you say your next exquisitely written book will be out?
